HARVEST SHARE Fruit Box. From Field to Heart, Starting November

Harvest share for fresh fruit: seasonal boxes from community-supported agriculture – delivered to You, carried by a Europe-wide community.

Fruit box »Lemons«

A box contains around 16–28 lemons, depending on size. They are harvested fully ripe and do not ripen further after picking. Stored cool and dark, they keep for up to one month or longer.

The fruits come from the Anyfion cooperative in Nafplio (Peloponnese), where they are grown in smallholder orchards using regenerative methods such as crop rotation, mixed planting, and compost instead of artificial fertilisers. Harvested by hand and delivered untreated, their peel is especially aromatic and versatile.

This way, you can enjoy fragrant, sun-yellow lemons for weeks – perfect for juice, zest, tea, or Mediterranean cooking.

This product is only available for community deliveries.

HARVEST SHARE »Lemons« – Radiant Yellow Freshness, Straight from the Tree

Lemons with a vibrant glow – straight from the tree, sun-ripened, and full of intense freshness.
Each harvest share carries the signature of people who harvest with a keen eye and clear intuition when the time is right. The result is more than citrus fruit – it is part of a living connection between farm, landscape, and community.

Our lemons come from small-scale farms on the Peloponnese, where they are grown regeneratively in mixed cultures. Without synthetic additives, but with compost, crop rotation, and traditional knowledge. They are harvested by hand – exactly when the fruit on the tree has reached its full flavour.

Orders are possible year-round – but those who order early secure their place in the harvest planning and support the community-based logistics structure. In this way, every order becomes a contribution to farming that is fit for future generations.

Fruchtsolo »Mango«

🌱Eco-Insight
Waldgartenprinzip

If storing the fruits outdoors, protect them from frost, e.g. with a blanket or in a styrofoam box. Check the fruits upon arrival for bruises or damage, and consume any affected ones first. If you discover mould, remove the affected fruits.

Please follow the instructions on the label.
Storage advice
RECOGNISE A FULLY RIPE FRUIT
Lemons do not ripen further after harvest and are picked at their optimal ripeness. A fully ripe lemon has a uniformly bright yellow skin (some varieties may retain a slight green hue when fully ripe) and feels heavy for its size – a sign of high juice content. The skin should be firm, smooth, and free from soft spots, cracks, or mould.

MAXIMISE SHELF LIFE
Store lemons in a cool, dark place at 7–10 °C (45–50 °F) with a relative humidity of 85–95%. Under these conditions, they will keep for 2–3 weeks. In the refrigerator (4–7 °C / 39–45 °F), loosely stored with good ventilation, they can stay fresh for up to 6 weeks. Avoid airtight containers to prevent moisture build-up and mould growth.

SPEED UP RIPENING
Lemons are non-climacteric fruits and do not continue to ripen after harvest. For a more intense aroma, they can be kept at room temperature for a few days, which activates the essential oils in the skin and enhances fragrance without changing fruit ripeness.
Usage
Lemons are rich in vitamin C and known for their intense aroma and versatility. They add freshness and a zesty note to both sweet and savoury dishes.

Lemon olive oil cake
A sponge cake made with freshly squeezed lemon juice, lemon zest, and mild olive oil – moist and fragrant.

Lemon risotto
Enhance creamy risotto with lemon juice, zest, and fresh herbs – light and Mediterranean.

Lemon ginger water
Mix lemon juice with fresh ginger and cold water – refreshing and invigorating.

Lemon pasta
Toss freshly cooked pasta with lemon juice, zest, olive oil, and Parmesan – light and full of flavour.

Lemon marinade for vegetables
Marinate grilled vegetables in lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, and herbs – adds extra freshness.

Lemon tip
Even after juicing, lemons can still be used. Simply rinse the untreated peels, cut them into small pieces, and pour over hot water. Add a spoon of honey if you like, and you’ll have a fragrant lemon drink – less sour than juice, with the delicate flavour of the peel’s essential oils.
Cultivation
Producer code: NAUP1 – Anyfion Cooperative, Nafplio, Peloponnese

The lemons grow in smallholder orchards, cultivated traditionally for generations. Anyfion relies on crop rotation, mixed planting, and compost instead of artificial fertilizers. The fruits ripen slowly under the Mediterranean sun, are hand-picked, and packed directly on site. Thanks to organic farming, they develop their characteristic aroma and especially fragrant peel.
Highlights
Harvest from an organic producers’ cooperative

Our fruits are harvested only after Your order and at perfect ripeness. They are then packed fresh and untreated, cleaned exclusively with brushes and without water (to protect local water resources), directly into the cardboard boxes – ready for You to pick up just a few days later.
