HARVEST SHARE Fruit Box. From Field to Heart, Starting November

Harvest share for fresh fruit: seasonal boxes from community-supported agriculture – delivered to You, carried by a Europe-wide community.

Mixed box »Citrus Grove«

A box contains a seasonal mix of oranges, mandarins, lemons, and grapefruits. Depending on the month, the composition changes – always freshly harvested and hand-packed. Stored cool and dark, the fruits keep for up to two months.

All citrus fruits are harvested by hand, left completely untreated, and not waxed or post-processed – their peel is edible and perfect for zest, tea, or candying. If you notice spots on the peel, this is zeolite – a natural volcanic mineral used in natural farming to protect the skin against fungal growth. It is entirely safe and can simply be washed off.

The fruits come from the Anyfion cooperative in Nafplio (Peloponnese), where more than 200 families cultivate citrus groves organically and regeneratively. Mixed planting with olives, herbs, and cover crops maintains soil fertility and biodiversity.

This way, each Citrus Grove box brings you variety, freshness, and the true taste of Mediterranean winters.

»Citrus Grove« – Citrus Variety from Solidarity-Based Farming

»Citrus Grove« is our classic citrus box. The fruits come from the region around Nafplio in the eastern Peloponnese and are harvested by hand with great care – only when they’ve reached full ripeness and their characteristic flavour.

The citrus trees grow in small-scale, carefully maintained orchards, sometimes in mixed cultures and managed using regenerative farming methods. The farms work in harmony with nature, avoiding synthetic chemical pesticides or mineral fertilisers.
Instead, they use compost, intercropping, and proven traditional knowledge combined with up-to-date scientific insight.

The fruits – including oranges, lemons, mandarins, grapefruits, and blood oranges – are harvested in small batches, sorted, and packed directly into shipping-ready boxes. Through a directly organised delivery structure, they reach TEIKEI pick-up points without intermediaries or unnecessary storage.

With »Citrus Grove«, You not only receive a delicious, untreated fruit box – You also support a solidarity-based structure that ensures secure purchase volumes, fair payment, and regional processing pathways.

What does "binding period" mean?
Your harvest share is valid for twelve months – this is what we call the binding period.
It gives farms security for cultivation, planning and fair payment – not just during harvest time, but throughout the entire year.
This creates reliability for everyone in the network.

You decide for yourself when and how often you order.
Only what you actually select is charged – no obligation, no minimum scope.
Even if you only participate for one month or start small: your contribution counts.

During the year, you can skip or postpone delivery months.
If you don't make any changes, your share automatically renews – and we're happy to keep you by our side.

Usage
The Citrus Grove box includes a seasonal mix of oranges, mandarins, lemons, and grapefruits. All fruits are hand-harvested, left completely untreated, and are not waxed or post-processed. This means the peel is edible and can be used in many ways – for zest, tea, or candying.

If you notice spots on the peel, this is zeolite – a natural volcanic mineral used in ecological farming to protect the fruit’s skin against fungal growth. It is entirely safe and can simply be washed off with water.

Citrus on its own
Peel an orange or mandarin and enjoy fresh – sweet, juicy, and uncomplicated.

Citrus salad
Combine citrus fillets with rocket and olive oil – colourful and light.

Citrus smoothie
Blend orange and grapefruit juice with banana or mango – refreshing and fruity.

Citrus dessert
Use lemon or orange zest in quark, yoghurt, or cakes – adds delicate flavour.

Citrus tip
Citrus peels can be dried or frozen and later grated into cakes, dressings, or marinades. This way the whole fruit is used – not only the juice.
Cultivation
Producer code: NAUP1 – Anyfion Cooperative, Nafplio, Peloponnese

All citrus fruits in the »Sonnenstrahl« harvest share come from the organic cooperative Anyfion, founded in 2002 and supported by more than 200 families today. The farms are located in the plains and hills around Nafplio, between 10–500 m altitude. Oranges, mandarins, lemons, and blood oranges are grown in mixed orchards. Anyfion strictly follows organic standards, avoiding synthetic inputs and relying on compost, crop rotation, and biodiverse companion plants. Every box is fully traceable back to the farms – ensuring transparency, fair prices, and stable farm incomes.
