HARVEST SHARE Fruit Box. From Field to Heart, Starting November
Harvest share for fresh fruit: seasonal boxes from community-supported agriculture – delivered to You, carried by a Europe-wide community.
Mixed box »Food Forest«
A box contains a seasonal mix of Mediterranean fruits – such as oranges, mandarins, lemons, grapefruits, avocados, kiwis, pomegranates, or persimmons. The exact mix changes with the harvest month. Stored cool and dark, the fruits keep for several weeks, some varieties up to two months.
All fruits are hand-harvested and delivered untreated, without waxing or post-processing. This means the peel is edible and can be used for zest, tea, or candying. If you notice spots on the peel, this is zeolite – a natural volcanic mineral used in natural farming to protect the fruit’s skin against fungal growth. It is safe and can simply be washed off.
The Food Forest box is a collaboration between the Anyfion cooperative in Nafplio (Peloponnese) – cultivating citrus, pomegranates, and persimmons – and Apostolis Mylonakis’ farm in Crete, where avocados are grown regeneratively. Together they create a diverse box that captures the abundance of the Mediterranean food forests.
This product is only available for community deliveries.

»Food Forest« – Mediterranean Fruit Variety from Regenerative Farming
»Food Forest« is our most diverse fruit box – a colourful mix of citrus fruits, avocados, and other seasonal Mediterranean varieties. The fruits come from small-scale farms in southern Greece, many of which work in regeneratively managed orchards or food forest systems.
Farming methods follow consistent, nature-connected principles: without synthetic chemical sprays, without artificial fertilisers.
Instead, they focus on building healthy soils, mixed cultivation, biodiversity, and proven traditional knowledge combined with up-to-date scientific insight.
The fruits – such as oranges, blood oranges, avocados, kiwis, pomegranates or persimmons – are hand-harvested at the perfect moment of ripeness. They are sorted, packed locally, and delivered without detours to TEIKEI pick-up points – transparent, direct, and solidarity-based.
With »Food Forest«, You not only nourish Yourself with vibrant, nutrient-rich fruits – You also support living soils, fair prices, and a new form of regenerative agriculture across Europe.

Food Forest tip
The variety in this box makes it easy to adapt recipes spontaneously. Depending on the season, you can try new combinations and discover different flavours every month.
To determine if a fruit is fully ripe, You can do the following:
Check bananas for an even yellow color without green spots.
Gently press the skin of the dragon fruit; it should yield slightly.
For mangoes, look for a pleasant aroma and a slightly springy feel when gently pressed.
Papayas are ripe when the skin yields slightly and can be gently indented with a finger.
This way, You can enjoy the fruits before they spoil.
MAXIMIZING SHELF LIFE
To store the fruits as long as possible, we recommend a dark place with a temperature between 10 and 15 °C and a humidity of 85–90%. Ideally, this would be a cool cellar or a not-too-warm storage room. Make sure not to store the fruits too close together to ensure air circulation. Check the condition of the fruits regularly and remove any damaged ones to avoid affecting the rest.
Please follow the storage instructions on the label.
ACCELERATING RIPENING
To speed up the ripening process, place the fruits together with ripe produce such as apples or bananas in a paper bag. These fruits release ethylene gas, which promotes ripening. Since bananas and mangoes are climacteric (ripening after harvest), they will continue to mature. Dragon fruits and papayas are non-climacteric, meaning they only ripen to a limited extent after harvest. Adjust fruit storage accordingly to maintain freshness and quality.
The »Früchteparadies« harvest share brings together a rich variety of Mediterranean fruits: oranges, mandarins, lemons, grapefruits, blood oranges, kiwis, pomegranates, persimmons, and avocados. Citrus and other fruits come from the Anyfion cooperative in Nafplio, Peloponnese (NAUP1), where they are grown at altitudes of 10–500 m in mixed orchards under a Mediterranean climate. They are complemented by avocados from Apostolis Mylonakis’ farm in Fournes, Crete (FOUR1), where minimal irrigation and regenerative methods are applied. Together they create a colorful box of seasonal fruits, uniting community spirit with careful farming.
Our fruits are harvested only after Your order and at perfect ripeness. They are then packed fresh, untreated, and cleaned only with water directly into the carton boxes – ready for You to pick up at the collection points just a few days later.
