HARVEST SHARE Fruit Box. From Field to Heart, Starting November

Harvest share for fresh fruit: seasonal boxes from community-supported agriculture – delivered to You, carried by a Europe-wide community.

Fruit box »Pomegranate«

A box contains around 22–24 pomegranates, depending on size. They are fully ripe when harvested, non-climacteric, and can be stored in a cool, dark place for up to two months.

The variety we offer is special: its seeds are naturally softer and sweeter than in many other pomegranates, making them easy to enjoy fresh, pressed into juice, or sprinkled over dishes.

The fruits come from the Anyfion cooperative in Nafplio (Peloponnese), where they grow in regeneratively managed food forests alongside citrus and olive trees. They are hand-harvested, untreated, and packed carefully for direct delivery.

This way, you can enjoy vibrant red fruits throughout autumn – straight from solidarity-based farming.

HARVEST SHARE »Pomegranate« – Aromatic, juicy, and straight from Greece

The harvest share »Pomegranate« is our fruit box for the cooler season – intense in flavour, rich in colour, and a true highlight for autumn and winter cooking. The fruits come from small-scale farms in southern Greece, where they slowly ripen under the Mediterranean sun. Harvesting is done by hand – exactly at the moment of optimal ripeness.

These pomegranates impress with their bold sweetness, fine acidity, and especially juicy, soft seeds – perfect for enjoying fresh, juicing, adding to salads, or using in festive dishes.

Pomegranates are only available for a few months each year – orders can be placed until the deadline for deliveries in October, November, or December. Quantities are limited. Early orders secure Your share of freshly harvested, aromatic-sweet fruit – straight from regeneratively managed food forests in southern Greece.

Harvest shares can be subscribed to year-round – enabling us to plan better, offer solidarity-based security, and organise reliable cultivation cycles. By ordering early, You help ensure the fruits can ripen at the right time – with clarity, community, and a shared commitment to living agriculture.

It gives farms security for cultivation, planning and fair payment – not just during harvest time, but throughout the entire year.
This creates reliability for everyone in the network.

Shelf life
Store pomegranates in a dark place at a cool temperature (e.g. in a cellar or hallway). This way, undamaged fruits can last for up to two months.

If storing outdoors, protect them from frost, e.g. with a blanket or in a styrofoam box. Check the fruits upon arrival for bruises or damage and consume any affected ones first. If you discover mould, remove the affected fruits.

Please follow the instructions on the label.
Usage
Pomegranates are rich in valuable plant compounds such as polyphenols, flavonoids, and punicalagins. The variety we offer here is special: its seeds are naturally sweeter and softer than in many other pomegranates, making them easy to enjoy and versatile in everyday cooking.

Pomegranate with yoghurt
Top plain yoghurt with fresh seeds and a drizzle of honey – quick, refreshing, and nourishing.

Simple pomegranate salad
Combine seeds with seasonal greens, olive oil, and a splash of lemon – colourful and fresh.

Pomegranate drink
Press the seeds and enjoy the juice pure or mixed with sparkling water – lively and refreshing.

Pomegranate topping
Sprinkle seeds over porridge, rice, or couscous – adds colour, crunch, and natural sweetness.

Pomegranate snack
Eat the seeds straight from the fruit – handful by handful, full of flavour and fibre.

Pomegranate tip
Our variety can also be dried. Simply remove the seeds and dry them in a dehydrator or oven at low temperature. They develop a high natural sweetness and an intense flavour – a unique snack that is a true speciality of this variety.
Storage advice
RECOGNISE A FULLY RIPE FRUIT
Check the skin for an even, vibrant colour. A ripe pomegranate feels heavy for its size and may have a slightly rough skin texture. Once harvested, pomegranates are fully ripe and ready to eat.

If you notice any mould, remove the affected fruits immediately.

MAXIMISE SHELF LIFE
Store pomegranates in a dark place at a cool temperature of 4–6 °C and high humidity of 90–95%. Under these conditions, undamaged fruits can keep for up to two months.

If storing outdoors, protect them from frost (e.g. with a blanket or in a styrofoam box). Check the fruits upon arrival for bruises or damage, and consume any affected ones first.

Please follow the storage instructions on the label.

RIPENING
Pomegranates are non-climacteric and do not ripen further after harvest. They are picked at their optimal maturity and remain stable when stored properly. Enjoy them fresh within the recommended shelf life.
Cultivation
Producer code: NAUP1 – Anyfion Cooperative, Nafplio, Peloponnese

The pomegranates grow in regeneratively managed food forests, together with citrus and olive trees. Their seeds are especially juicy, aromatic, and soft. The Anyfion farmers use natural irrigation systems and avoid all chemical inputs. Harvesting only takes place in the autumn months, once the fruits have reached full flavor.
Highlights
Harvest from an organic producers’ cooperative

Our fruits are harvested only after Your order and at perfect ripeness. They are then packed fresh and untreated, cleaned exclusively with brushes and without water (to protect local water resources), directly into the cardboard boxes – ready for You to pick up just a few days later.
