Order Your MEDITERRANEAN MIX Harvest Share

The Mediterranean Fruits from TEIKEI Fruit are available as a harvest share in two assortments: “Citrus Mix” and “Forest Garden”. Both come from small-scale farms in southern Greece – some cultivated as diverse forest gardens – and are cared for according to the principles of regenerative agriculture.

By pre-ordering through a harvest share, You give the farms a reliable purchase guarantee, enabling them to work with planning security, care, and dignity. The fruits are sorted locally and prepared for shipping without detours – natural, traceable, and full of flavor.

Selectable Products:

In the orchards near Nafplio, citrus trees grow between old stone walls and wild fennel.
Here, farming doesn’t start with a time clock – but with care.

Ten years ago, many of these farmers stood at a turning point.
Continuing meant adapting to a system that demands more pesticides,
higher yields, and soils treated as inputs – not as life.

They saw where that would lead:
depleted earth, vanishing diversity, and no future for groves or gardens.

So they chose something else.

They came together –
stopped giving their harvest into a system that breaks connection,
shared tools, knowledge, and risks,
restored their soils, let nature return,
and committed to a path where farming nourishes all it touches.

Not a brand. A relationship.
Not supply. But participation.

Mediterranean Fruits is an invitation into this network.
A harvest share from orchards near the Aegean Sea –
grown with diversity, harvested with dignity,
and brought to You without intermediaries or waste.

Mediterranean Fruits connect people and places.
A box that carries the taste of the season –
and the traces of a shared path.

Every fruit speaks.
Of transition, of care, of lived responsibility.

✔︎ Step into this.
Receive Your harvest.
Follow the rhythm of real food.

Usage
The Citrus Grove box includes a seasonal mix of oranges, mandarins, lemons, and grapefruits. All fruits are hand-harvested, left completely untreated, and are not waxed or post-processed. This means the peel is edible and can be used in many ways – for zest, tea, or candying.

If you notice spots on the peel, this is zeolite – a natural volcanic mineral used in ecological farming to protect the fruit’s skin against fungal growth. It is entirely safe and can simply be washed off with water.

Citrus on its own
Peel an orange or mandarin and enjoy fresh – sweet, juicy, and uncomplicated.

Citrus salad
Combine citrus fillets with rocket and olive oil – colourful and light.

Citrus smoothie
Blend orange and grapefruit juice with banana or mango – refreshing and fruity.

Citrus dessert
Use lemon or orange zest in quark, yoghurt, or cakes – adds delicate flavour.

Citrus tip
Citrus peels can be dried or frozen and later grated into cakes, dressings, or marinades. This way the whole fruit is used – not only the juice.

Storage advice
RECOGNIZING A FULLY RIPE FRUIT
To determine if a fruit is fully ripe, You can do the following:

Check bananas for an even yellow color without green spots.
Gently press the skin of the dragon fruit; it should yield slightly.
For mangoes, look for a pleasant aroma and a slightly springy feel when gently pressed.
Papayas are ripe when the skin yields slightly and can be gently indented with a finger.

This way, You can enjoy the fruits before they spoil.

MAXIMIZING SHELF LIFE
To store the fruits as long as possible, we recommend a dark place with a temperature between 10 and 15 °C and a humidity of 85–90%. Ideally, this would be a cool cellar or a not-too-warm storage room. Make sure not to store the fruits too close together to ensure air circulation. Check the condition of the fruits regularly and remove any damaged ones to avoid affecting the rest.

Please follow the storage instructions on the label.

ACCELERATING RIPENING
To speed up the ripening process, place the fruits together with ripe produce such as apples or bananas in a paper bag. These fruits release ethylene gas, which promotes ripening. Since bananas and mangoes are climacteric (ripening after harvest), they will continue to mature. Dragon fruits and papayas are non-climacteric, meaning they only ripen to a limited extent after harvest. Adjust fruit storage accordingly to maintain freshness and quality.
